IEEE APSIT Student Branch comes under IEEE Bombay Section and is recognized to be one the most proactive student branch and has been acclaimed as the upcoming branch with the most potential. The ongoing situation as a result of Covid-19 and the subsequent lockdown has put us all in a difficult spot. The times are uncertain and everyone is fighting their own battles. However, this is also an excellent opportunity to expand your horizons and add new skills to your repertoire. With this aim, IEEE APSIT SB Computer Society brings you The Coders Week, a programming endeavour, starting from 1st June 2020.
IEEE APSIT introduced a five days webinar series, Talkdown in the Lockdown, during the country-wide lockdown period. Speakers who joined us for the sessions were Raj Pritam Bhattacharya, Faiz Malkhani, Nakul Agrawal, Nikhil Karande and Chirag Nayyar. Topics of the sessions included cloud computing, careers in Blockchain, design thinking and others. Among these technical subjects, Nakul Agrawal guided our participants regarding how to manage anxiety and how to over come stress and boredom specially during the lockdown period.
An event on Tensorflow was organised by IEEE APSIT and Tensrflow India User Group where participants were educated about Deep Learning, Neural Networks and the Advatages of Tensorflow 2.0 in solving modern deep learning problems. The sessions commenced by a welcome note by Mr. Ali Mustafa followed by expert talks by Mr. Santosh Chapaneri, MS(ECE) from University of Arizona and Assistant Professor at SFIT and Mr. Indranil Chandra, Intel Software Innovator and Machine Learning Engineer at Aditya Birla Finanace.
